Edward Robinson is the President and Founder of Capacity Building Solutions Inc, a consulting firm started in June 2002 to focus on the business management and organizational development needs of small businesses and community based non-profit organizations. His expertise is in working with senior leaders and leadership teams to assess and address the strategic business decision and implementation challenges they must face to be competitive in their market environment. Ed is also a Chair with Vistage International, an invitation-only CEO membership organization that works with both for-profit and non-profit leaders through a peer based model to increase their professional effectiveness and enhance their lives.  Through his work with Vistage, Ed currently coaches 25 leaders on a monthly basis.

Previously, Ed was Managing Director of Community Wealth Ventures (CWV), a consulting practice that focuses on social enterprise development.  Ed managed multiple client engagements for CWV and played an essential role in methodological development and practice administration. Ed also spearheaded the development of an innovative group-consulting model focused jointly on organizational capacity building and revenue generation, Paving Pathways To Sustainability , sponsored by the Fannie Mae and Eugene and Agnes E. Meyer Foundations.

Prior to joining CWV, Ed served in a senior management role with The Gallup Organization where he was responsible for the promotion, coordination, and profitability of a market research product line targeting healthcare institutions. Preceding his Gallup experience, Ed was a Senior Consultant with Ernst & Young, LLP in the healthcare consulting practice where he managed/coordinated various aspects of the strategic repositioning engagement process, including evaluating business operations and performance, developing change management programs, and assisting clients with strategic planning issues.

Ed received his B.A. in Politics from The Catholic University of America and his M.B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University.   He also has studied abroad at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow , Poland .   Moreover, he has been through several extensive professional training programs including the Gallup Leadership Institute and TEC Chair training.   Most recently, Ed was a graduate of the 2004/2005 Leadership Frederick County program.
